Bath Bomb Making Step By Step Guide

Bath Bomb Making Step By Step Guide

Soooooo, we have gone and done something crazy.... We gave you our bath bomb recipe, as well as step by step guide on how to make them... Yes, the very same ones we sell at our markets and online!

Why would we do this? Well we absolutely love and trust in our product so much, and we know that more people will do too once they know exactly what we put in our bath bombs, as they can always be sure of the quality and the product they will be receiving when they order from us.

We originally shared our recipe and step by step video on our Facebook Page, (Feel free to like and follow us 😜) However, we also felt we will put it in a blog form with all the details.

So, without further ado, here it is:

Bath Bomb Recipe

  • 1 cup Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 1/2 cup Citric Acid
  • 1/2 cup Epsom Salt
  • 1/2 cup Cornflour
  • 1/2 cup Coconut oil
  • Few drops of your favourite essential oil
  • Few drops of bath bomb colouring, or food colour if you are making for home use
  • You will also need Bath Bomb Moulds, we bought ours on Amazon.

We use organic and unrefined ingredients, to stay as natural and to the core of the actual product as we can. However this is not needed if you are making for home use.

The process for making is as follow:

  • Start by mixing all the dry ingredients together. What you want to do is make sure there are no lumps in the mixture. If easier you can sift the dry ingredients together to get it as close to a powder form as possible.
  • Next add your colour. Add just a few drops, make sure you mix while adding the colour, as you want to avoid the mixture from fizzing as much as possible. Your mixture should have a very faint colour of the colour you are using. The colour will show through when you add the coconut oil.
  • The next step is to add your essential oil. About 4 - 5 drops should be enough, depending on the strength of your oil. Start by adding 4 drops, if it smells strong, then that is enough, if not, add a couple more.
  • Lastly, add the melted coconut oil to the mixture, and mix until everything is the same consistency, and you are able to make small lumps with your hand when you squish the mixture together.

Now you are ready for the final part, adding them to your mould. Here is the video we posted on our facebook page, you can see I used different types of moulds to show you how they work, and what the best way is to make them stay in their shape.

Have fun making these at home!

Please do send us your pics if you do make them, we would love to see your end product, and feature you on our facebook and insta accounts.

Until next time xx
